  • A/C removal

Since I have a vert, im not thinking I need much of an A/C since I dont plan on driving it on shitty days during the summer any more considering the work that is going into it. The top down and A/C on is pointless anyways. So, if i remove the A/C is there a belt short enough to just ignore that extra pulley being there, or should I figure out how to fab up a delete pulley to put in its place?

The battery is going to the trunk, and with the A/C removed, will this wieght loss up front effect my traction much?

    a/c delete

I dont use a/c and would like to delete it when i put in the 3.4 the only problem i see is that you need the a/c pulley to run the water pump. The only solution i see is to get a new pulley for the water pump and run a shorter belt.

you could try to fab up a bracket to hold the ac pulley or another pulley to take up the space

I doubt traction would be an issue at all for the 3.4L DOHC until you are running pretty quick.

If I were you, I would relocate the alternator to the AC compressor location, and fab up a pulley to put where the stock location of the alt. is. That way, in case you would ever have to replace the alt. again, its right there.

            Right there???

Maybe its "right there" atfer you remove the exhaust manifold, both radiator fans, the radiator, the coils, the lower coolant line, and possibly the water inlet. Fuck that, I'll just pull out an axle and undo 3 bolts

To me, it's a much better location that where it is stock. If you go at the alt. from the bottom, why would you have to remove all that stuff??

The bottom works great, except for that big thing called a subframe that is right in the way of it coming out.
