Yes, he shoudl have provided you with new the new part number for the belt. If not, the FFP website says "approximately 1" shorter."

I think the 94+ use a different belt than 91-93.

well, I'm not clear now on what belt is finally being recommended; I have a 92 version and will put an underdrive pulley on it so am interested. I am assuming that the 92 STOCK belt is 72" then? So the shorter belt will be 71".....

also what are some good sources for the pulley? Where did you get yours?
                thx

The info in my last post is directly from michael, who runs FFP and makes the pullies. If you still aren't sure what size, no one can help you.

                        huh?
I guess I don't (didn't) have the background on who 'Michael' is. My 'problem'. And until I (helpfully!) got the website from Heza (thanks!) I didn't know where to check it out. But that is done. So I re-read this thread and it IS in fact the clearest one ever posted....

"Quick question. I want to install this today. Do I need a shorter belt?" (from a guy with a '94)....

"Yes, he shoudl have provided you with new the new part number for the belt. If not, the FFP website says "approximately 1" shorter."......so far so good....

"Yes, u need a 71" (73"stock) belt. I put mine on Friday. Your gonna love the bigger powerband" (FROM JJ77 ).. so what is he saying? a 2" difference?

"I think the 94+ use a different belt than 91-93." ......ok, so I need to see what the 93 might be....

"Pretty sure its 72". Verified with michael, and he also says the 91-93 are the same 72"" (WHOEVER MICHAEL IS...) so I assume that after saying the 94 was different I guess the 94 isn't different. Is this worth risking asking a question tho? But I visited the website after finding out where it was and figured it out from there. That was the helpful part. The rest is something else talking.

"yes, 72" for '94-97" .....obviously the stock size we are talking about...

"71" or 72"? Bottom line is..1" shorter than my stock belt? Guess you can figure out, I didn't do it yet. Thanx Aaron. 34t..I got mine here. Site trusted."...... someone else who might not be sure what got said....???

but there are lots of people who will help me. No prob.
thanks for the help here, guys. Got a link and found out some more .....'useful' information.
