    And since the first post I have decided to build a header set up Instead of Extrude Honing Exh Manifolds.

    And in reference to the Avatar Also in reference to the Ben's Chip I want to get all of the mods lined up first, then knock on ben's door in reference to the chip, or I may get one, and have him go thru the stages along with me so I can post before, and after specs...
    Hmmmmmm thinking NEW G tech is gonna come in handy.

      Id rather have ported heads than cams. I have tested 4 sets now, and going on 5 once I get the CNC machined heads back from Ed. You can reshape the ports though for better low end, or top end, and its a very noticable change in performance. Thats with stock intake and exhaust manifolds (well, ported intakes but stock plenum shape and TB).

        Didn't even think about the Cam Issue, I was just going to do the 13* Retard set up (which would be even better with the spray) But then again if I can get more duration on the Exh side ?? Hmmmmm??

          I am thinking about 32 - 34 inches for primaries on the Header Issue, what are your opinions ??

              I am using 30 right now.

              I personally feel that the DOHC heads are good. Not perfect, but good. And I think that there is more performance to be had with cams than heads. Plus it will be cheaper to do.

              The chip is good, but you will gain more with headers etc. But for the price it is great, and very much so worthwhile.

              Ben you are also biased towards the heads, as you are the only one that ports them. And I guess you'd know they're capabilities better than I do, but I do not see 60 or more hp from P&P heads, and they were getting like 40-60 just by adding the W41 specs on DD weren't they?

                40 with just cams...but even if say cams by themselves gained 30 and heads by themselves gained 20

                Ide still like to average the #s and see which one gives more HP on average through the entire curve

                          Its a first as far as I know. We have had 1 hijacking in a thread, which is rare that it strays so far off...but 2! Hahaha, i guess this particular topic just made everyone want to talk about everything else.
