My cold air comes from 6" off the ground. In the front. Fuck the wheel well. Spent less than 30 bucks. Wish I had pics. Hell, it is more like ram intake now. I made an aluminum collector, cut out the air dam, mounted it. Used pvc pipe to route it to the bottom of the stock air box. You just have to be inventive. And,....I'm working on a better one. The seat of the pants is awesome. Especially when it is cold outside. These engines love it! And there has been discussions about water. Never had a problem yet. The filter should stop most of it, the engine kinda likes the leftovers. Strips carbon. Just don't drive through a flood. I also closed off the original intake. This is the cheapest mod you can do. My first design took air through the foglight openings, then I wanted the foglights back. But, the exhaust is important also. I use Flowmaster cat, and Borla SS catback.
If you are driving a Chevy, everything else, is just a blur. 3.4 Carbon Footprint.

I already have a warm air intake (ebay), but when I get my exhaust done. I will get them to bend me a piece of tubing to go from my original intake to the hole right behind the headlight. Araon post a pic of your intake

Well, I would hope its more than 20... Chip does 8-10 at the wheels plus much better top end power, exhaust (cat, mandrel bent, better mufflers) can get you 10 on its own, pulley does I think 6 peak on its own but a MUCh better powerband, and a cold air intake has to be good for at least 3-5 on its own. Yes, you can't just add them up and get that much out of it...but thats nearly 30 at the wheels added up. Gm ratings are at the crank. I would say 225-230 crank is pretty easy to get with those modifications. They all compliment each other cept the pulley which realistically you can add since it doesn't help the engine breath, it reduces parasitic losses.

30hp and a 15 sec. quarter for about $650-700 at the wheels is not that bad. Plus you cant put a price on the sound of a 3.4L DOHC running thru a real exhaust system.

Use a J-Bend from a prelude kit. Not dyno proven but race proven
                Good luck on modding.
