Hey yall
Well before I continue onto my Fiero expedition, I am going to pull the motor out of the red car and build it up. Since I will be doing all of the building, I have money to spend to make it over stock.
Here are just some crazy ideas that I have, and I want to know if there is any reason why they will not work.
First of all, how far can it be bored out safely? Don't worry about pistons or rings, I have that covered.
Secondly, I'm going to assume rightfully that the new 3900 gets its displacement from a bore AND stroke increase. Since both are 60* V6s, essentially the same block(IIRC), what are the chances of a 3900 V6 crank fitting in a 3.4L DOHC? Would anything need to be done to accomodate it? Like cutting the block any?
That should be all for now, thansk for the help!
