i finished a tb coolant bypass on my setup. it is dreadfully easy but it won't work unless you have a cross gen swap.
but basically all i used was a 13mm bolt, a 13mm nut and some rtv black.
on the end that goes into the lim(the larger end) it recesses and has a lip inside, i used a 13mm bolt that covered up the lip. 1st i ran a bead of rtv on the lip, stuck the bolt in(make sure the bolt is long enough to stick out on the other end to put a nut on) tightened it down and filled the recessed hole up with rtv.
on the port that you don't use anyway on the tb neck put a little rubber bypass thingy on it to keep moisture out and there you go.
obviously if the 96-97 is stock in your car and you are using that port, blocking the coolant flow won't be a good idea.
i figure i'd throw that out there. it cost less than 2 bucks to do and you might scavenge 1-3 free hp(if you live where it is cold all the time though, you might want to reconsider also)
p.s. if you need a pic, just pm me.
