  • TB/Plenum Replacement

I doubt if I do it untill the car becomes"Tunable", but what knd of options are available for doing away with the 1 piece TB/Plenum on the 94, 3.4?

also u can go to a 91-93 plenum, i believe their tb's are removable. as far as i can tell it is about a direct bolt up swap, probably won't even need to change the lim. don't know for sure though.

dude, u are in ohio? perhaps u and sappy should get together and do something with that 94 chip u have.

All 3.4L DOHC upper intake manifold plenums/throttle bodies were 1 piece units until the 1996-97 years, when they became 2-piece.

So he could swap to a 96-97, but it does take some mechanical inclanation to do.

That has been a thwarted plan for a year now..Maybe before too long with this new job.. Then we all can benefit. cncguy has an old beater I can get super cheap..

When i can afford to finish it I will. Im not gonna go into detail just yet cause I wanna test it, and make sure im the first to do it cause I plan to sell it if it works out well. I just don't know what tuning it will require, especially with MAP. With MAF, it may be pretty easy to change the fuel tables. MAF is pretty consistant unlike MAP.

Wrong! The 96-97's were THREE pieces (plenum, arm, and TB).

Can't the intergrated throttle body be ported out? Is that even a good idea?

Even though I don't have a 95 below, I know someone that does and is going to have the throttle body ported out...what can he expect to see as far as gains?
