Does anybody here know the crank triggering scheme for the ignition? i.e. # or teeth, angle between teeth, rising or falling signal? I'm assuming all 3.4 DOHC engines are the same, though I guess it's possible that the 94-95 is different. Thanks.

    There is a 3x crank (common to just about all 60v6's) and a 24x crank (3x00 and 94+ LQ1)

The 24x is even spaced at 15*

    the 3x is a 6+1 scheme. 6 @ 60* plus one 10* from one of the 6 to provide a sync pulse.

Thanks. Does the ECU base ignition off both of these signals or just one? I've been looking at piggybacks. Perfect Power has two designed to intercept and alter the crank signal to retard timing. One is based off an odd signal(uneven spacing - like an LSI) and the other is designed for an even signal(like most other cars). I'm trying to figure out if this will work. Thanks again.

EDIT- I believe it can work 2 ways- modifying the signal to the ECU from the crank, or from the ECU to the coil packs. I probably need to know what each signal is to determine if this will work. Thanks!
