Might move from 225s to 215s. Yea? or Nay? Need comments on performance.
If you are driving a Chevy, everything else, is just a blur. 3.4 Carbon Footprint.

Why would you move to skinnier tires? The only reason I could see to is that the overall height changes a TINY bit in your advantage for gearing and that you would have less resistance when rolling on the road. Other than that you will lose traction capabilities--then again I've never had traction problems in my auto DOHC.

I use 235, but also traction is a big issue, on dry pavement and especially on snow/ice.

If it is non-preformance driving go for it. But these are heavy cars and you will be loosing approximatily 5.5% of your traction. Definatiley your call.

Yeah why would you want to use skinnier tires? You'll loose braking traction, acceleration traction, and cornering will be pretty scary. You can put up to 245/50-16's on the stock 16X6.5" wheels. There are only a few brands that you can do that with (Sumitomo HTR+ I think can... or HTR Z I dunno). But if I were you, for the stock wheels, go with 235/55-16's.
