The crank and rods can take more, its the pistons i would be concerned about. not correcting you, just adding to it.
Yeah, I have heard the bottom end of the older 60* engines are pretty strong stock. I wonder how much replacement pistons/rods for the new 60* engines (the ones with all of the drool worthy forged internals) cost...

this engine has alluminum heads, so would't NOS just blow or melt the heads?

Only if you run extremely lean, lol. Then again, any engine would suffer a meltdown from running extremely lean. Causes way to high of temperatures. That's why when your engine starts to overheat, your ECM starts to dump fuel, to cool the engine off some.

Actually, there are a few people that have ran 100+ shots on these motors so I wouldn't worry about the nitrous so long as you have the fuel for it right, and you can take care of the spark. I wouldn't worry about the pistons with a 100 shot, nor with some decent boost.

I went to the track with a silver Z34 auto that was running a 100 shot. It was running pretty quick. Without his juice, I slaughtered him. I can't remember his times tho.

I'd be worried most about the bearings. I don't know why tho.... Oh yah, I remember, everything in my motor looked brand new except for them
