Nope. His wasting time on these heads comment was unfound. As for what he did to his cars, i think those are common sense items that are known to hurt a car.

Ben, you should set up your flowbench and do comparisons of the 91-95 and 96-97 heads. Im curious if the difference is worth the trouble. Considering all the changes made to the DOHC from 95 to 96, it didnt really gain any HP... it really makes me wonder WTF they did.

Thats why im curious about the whole damn engine Lots of changes for pathetic gains. I need to drill out this sheet of aluminum so I can mount the head to the bench.

as for another off topic remark, don't tell someone you're going to send them the tools and then just not do it. it's a really jackassy thing to do. especially when the person waiting for them has been carless for quite a long time. and lets see, i know i'm a moron, i was admitting that, and only i have to deal with it, your ridicule is irrelevant.

and as the common discussion has been to keep compression as high as possible and all that good junk i'm just going on info that you have given me, so basically you're insulting yourself. although i should be smarter than that, and not just take your word for it like some stupid sheep. i'm having a wonderful day thanx.

I didn't have them to send you. I still don't for that matter. That has nothing to do with you telling me I am wasting my time doing these heads. Yes, I know all about the compression, and the design changes. They look good but something is wrong with getting 5 hp from all the changes made to the 96/97. If you want to see what a waste of time this is you can drive up in a few weeks.

Anyway, i have more pics up of the intake side. Ill take more after I get them decked and the valve job. I can take some pics of stock heads, brand new as well. They are 3 angle.

well the 5hp does kinda make sense since the cams and timing and pulley system is also all different. just like you couldn't take full advantage of P&P the heads without getting a cam with the proper lift/duration to allow full benefit of the increased flow.

The pulley system isn't gonna do anything. The cam timing might be it, but no one knows for sure.

I assume those are the centerlines. I think duration is the same but if you can find the duration specs that would confirm it.

They are at the shop now being decked. I need to remove the carbon from the exhaust ports if you want to see anything. I need new intake gaskets before I could show you how they match up as well.

I wouldnt think the 96 heads would be THAT big of a difference...but the exhaust side really makes me wonder
