It doesn't matter where you put it, just as long as it's between the cat and the mufflers. The straight pipe after the cat or the straight pipe the goes along the side of the car are the easiest places. I'll take a pic of where mine is tomorrow.

i put magnaflows on my LQ1 and they sound nice except for the metallic rattle, i guess you guys refer to as "rasp". it only does that from 2-3 grand. i dont know what is the cause of this. if someone could tell me how to make it go away would be appreciated. people laugh and call it ricey, from inside the cockpit sounds nice but outside sounds ...eh...until i get moving fast.

also where does magnaflow make resonators? i been looking for theirs but cant find any. if not who makes the best resonator and how much are they? would a glasspack be considered a resonator? cause i saw someone with a twister race muffler in place of the res. but dont know what that would sound like.

Magnaflow's 4" Round muffler (aka MagnaPack) makes a good resonator. Check out: http://www.magnaflow.com/02product/m...v_al_round.asp to have a look at what they have. I have the 10425 in place of my stock resonator.
And yes, glasspacks can be used as resonators as well. I tried a Dynomax Thrush glasspack before going with the MagnaPack. It was much cheaper, but the build quality is much worse. It started to rattle from inside within one week of having it put on my car while the Magnaflow has been on my car for almost 2 years now. It also didn't do quite as good of a job for removing rasp as the MagnaPack does.

oh alright. thanks, im gonna order a magnaflow powerpack is what they call it. 18" long 4" round. only 32 bucks so it should be fine. just out of curiosity. how long it the stock resonator? cause if i dont have to cut away too much ill probably do it myself. or should i save myself the hassle and go to meineke?
