Hi i need to fill out the warranty card for my brothers 91 gtp , he got his rebuilt motor back from optimax and the warranty card wants the oil pressure reading in psi. what is a good b/s number to give them ? thanks.

I wouldn't fuck around with that. The warranty guy I worked with at Optimax was the smartest/best mechanic I've ever known. You should just get a real reading.

well how do i get a real reading? i need to send away my card tommorow and i need a number that is suitable for these motors.

Who installed the motor? Must have been a certified technitian/garage, if not, void warranty? Any who they should have a pressure tester.

i installed the motor, and it doesnt void the warranty because i had the motor inspected.

A good TDC will toss out about 40-60 psi hot idle.Lorenzo

Right around 60-70 at idle cold, as in sitting overnight. But gpse3400 is dead on for the hot idle.-60v6's 2nd Jon M.
