Main caps direction on 91 TDC

I wasn't able to find in the Helm's manual which direction the main caps go on. Are the arrows pointing toward the front of the engine or toward the rear? Thanks.

It locks them. Arrows always front. That is why they are there.

eh yaup and put black rtv silicone on the end of the front bearing cap, tthey are known to leak there.

Thanks for the advice guys. 93vinx, are you saying to put RTV on the mating surface where the cap meets the block? Will that affect the cap bolt torque?

i'm saying put a very minute amunt, it won't affect it but it will stop a leak from forming in the corners of the last cap, most of the rtv will press out but leave a FILM TO STOP THE OIL
