I would think higher revs would come into play as well... Less valve-train weight means everything can work quicker and prevent valve float at high RPM.

Make sure you have good oil flow. I know I can hear mine tick for 10 min when its cold. I am doing a dry sump soon so all of that should be gone.

No, Higher end RPM means you can go higher RPM. The advantages of this are, if your a 5 speed you can go longer before you shift into the next gear, also bringing your next gear closer to the power band when racing.
If your an auto they just help with a tune.
In all honesty they dont do anything that I have noticed, but make noise. Infact they look like the same material so I am wondering what makes them lighter if at all.
Not worth the $400 IMO. Your better off building a dry sump to free up power and increase engine life, or put the $400 into piston/Rods.
If I did it again I would not spend the money on these at ALL.

I would start else where as well. like ben sen not worth the work unless you need them replaced for other reasons... Trans cooler if you don't have one would be my very 1st install.

They are $299.99. Have you priced stock replacement lifters? If you need lifters, then they are worth using. If you don't need lifters, then there is no reason to tear things apart to replace them.
Again, not saying dont buy them, I would just start else where first. Like shane said a tranny cooler if your auto does not have one or a oil cooler, intake, pulley, exhaust, etc.

pick a set of mufflers, a resonator and have an exhaust shop build the piping. i wouldnt go any larger then 2.5". I would recommend a Magnaflow/Carsound high flow cat and relplacing your stock mufflers and resonator. how loud do you want to go?

Are yours worth the money, YES, would I swap them if I did it again, NO. I am not saying that they are bad, or that they are not truly lighter, I am just saying I personally dont like them. The noise they make on start up is not worth the higher RPM in the long run. Even with my oil pump champhered and bluw printed and the oil passages cleared of casting flash, I still think they need more oil up top.
