As for the IAC, it doesn't matter anymore. For the idle, at the end of each row is a screw, like on carbs. You screw it in and out and it controls the amount of air that enters at idle. And by adjusting the air, the map sensor will see the change and adjust the fuel. So I do not need my IAC.

Thanks Dyk for being honest. We will see how it works, I plan on a before and after dyno.

As for the throttle, I will look into that. I do not think it will be ahrd, I will just need them in front of me so I can play with them and figure it out.

So what will the ECM say when you don't have the IAC plugged in? I know the IAC is for letting air bypass... are you just gonna let the IAC hang around? The IAC adjusts for varying engine loads... I just think there will be problems if you don't implement the IAC somehow.

The ECM will be pissed. LOL!!!!

Yah it will definately throw a code, I am pretty confident that will happen, and I bet it will be for more than one sensor.

Ben, can you like disable the IAC with the chip? Becuz I'd like to just have it be ignored....lol

I am more worried about the Throttle Position sensor.

Um...well i dunno if the iac can be killed through the data area. You probably need someone to kill it in the execution code.

JUST KILL THE FUCKING THING GODDAMNIT!!!

LOL if I have to pay ya I will, but that is illegal. lol

Basically, after I am done with this car, the ONLY thing my ECM will be doing is giving my car gas. Nothing else. It gets to read manifold absolute pressure, and adjust fuel delivery/ignition timing based on that. But other than that, it will do nothing. No sensors or anything. LOL!

If the ecm is only going to control fuel, why not get a stand alone system?

I don't know if disabling all the sensors is a good idea. The reason they are all there is to help maximize the efficiency of the air/fuel mixture. Getting rid of the IAC will probably kill the car if you turn on your headlights, heater, and radio simultaneously. Because... you know... 5 speeds don't already have idling problems...

I think if you don't keep the TPS the fuel supply will not increase correctly with increasing throttle. I don't know, I'm no fabricator, but I can imaging that fabbing something to at least incorporate the sensors wouldn't be too hard. Just drill a hole for the TPS in one of the throttle bodies. I'm not sure how the TPS works, is it an eccentric? If the throttle plates are synchronized perfectly then that would work, right? IAT would be no problem either.

I'm just saying if you want the most performance out of this thing, you're probably gonna want to implement every sensor somehow. It gonna be really expensive, might as well take the time to get it running optimally the first time.

Yah I was kinda exagerating. I was just noticing how with every mod I do, I disconnect like 2 things on my car. It's like sooner or later I'm not gonna have any sensors.

I do not yet know what I am going to do about the TPS. It's gonna be a pita tho.

With the 96 injectors the car will no longer have an idle problem, it is the earlier injectors that cause that.

Really, cause i have no idling issues and neither does john with the older injectors. Ive read the report on GM using injectors that flow more at idle but honestly, I think its a bunch of shit. The problem isn't the fuel flow at idle, it was the programming (which GM fixed).

The TPS doesnt control fuel directly but it is used and is important for drivability and idle.

its not the flow its how much amps they draw, the updated ones draw less. the car stalls when the fans come on. they did do a recal but it didn't help all cars

Technically I think ever one of us with a modifed chip driving our cars on the road are operating it illegally because it is not approved for emissions (especially with the EGR turned off, and lean cruise turned on). That's why on the FFP site, it says "off road use only" with the EGR option. It's kinda like Cali and their "CARB Approved" performance parts. If it doesn't pass CARB standards, and it's on the car, it's labeled as off road use only, and not legal to run on the streets. But then again, any of us here that modify our cars don't give a damn in the first place, including me, lol.

I didnt see anything about the current draw of the injectors, so ifyou have the gm bulletin I would like to read it.
