Thats a very vague question. What are you looking for? increase in power? stock?
Mark-OEM
-
port the heads (more power)
knife edge, micro pollish and ballance crank (less rotational mass)
Angled valve job, new valve seals/guides, springs and retainers (performance and reliability)
alot of things you can do... that would be a good start...Shane "RedZMonte"

I think there also might be rods and pistons from other vehicle(s) that work in LQ1's, someone will likely know for sure.Jesse M.

If it is a mid-95 engine or older, I'd be looking to perform the lifter/oil pressure modification as detailed in the service bulletin.
Parts will be hard to find, though. Some of 'em are generic cup plugs--and that'd be fairly easy. I don't know about the cam thrust plates, though. Perhaps scalp some from a newer engine and see what's different. Maybe we can modify the ones we have.
