I noticed a large power pickup using my ghettofab Trailer Park waste sewage line! Ran it through the rad support and down the fender. Less than $10 mod. Walmart + $8.95 = GhettoFab CAI with stock box

I did the same. If you come draw a line between the 2 mounting points on mine, I cut that whole section to the bottom of the filter flange off, so basically mine is missing about half of the box. I left the flange there so my filter (K&N drop in) still makes a good seal. It made a HUGE difference in the way mine sounded. I've had people that were beside me or in front of me in tunnels compliment me on my "exhaust" which in reality is 2 1/4 mandrel bent with stock style mufflers.

i bought 1 18in strait pipe and 1 18in u bend. i will cut the strait pipe into an 8in and 9 in pipe and the u bend into a 45 degree angle and an 90 degree angle. i still have to buy couplers but my total should only be around 50 for a true fwi

Pics, details? I thought about opening up the stock box more and using a tube to run it to cool air at the bottom of the car. Much like a stock BMW air box is. They have a long tube going to the bottom of the car, then another short snorkel coming out by the headlight/fender so that if the bottom tube get submerged in water it doesn't pull water up into the engine..
