I never said i wanted it at a cheap discounted rate, lol , i was just wondering if they make them, and if so where? but i think $800 for a SET of axles is a good price, im not cheap when it comes to my car, i do spend alot on it, ive got over 6K in just the turbo setup and close to 20K in the whole car, so im not low budget with it.

www.driveshaftshop.com should be able to hook you up with good axles.

stock GM axles are built like tanks but you are launching a heavy car. a LSD would help it out for sure.

I had that same thing happen to my 91 after we did the 5 speed swap. I kept the stub shaft as a souvenir, lol.

Lol ya its not fun when that happens, car doesnt move and tranny fluid leaking everywhere, lol and its alot worse when you got a bunch of pissed off racers waiting in line to use the track and your car is stuck there leaking oil all over the track.

Lol but hey thats all part of drag racing, shit happens, u gotta expect that stuff.

That and you tear up the axle seal, which are getting fewer and fewer in number. I'm considering going to the dealer and getting about 10 of them for those just in case times. At least I had a scapegoat for mine. Ben was driving it showing his friends in Niles the car after we finished the swap, lol.

the axle seals have been discontinued from the dealer for along time, i worked at the dealer for 4 years and they did extensive searches, and just could not find any for me, but CR oil seals does make them still for aftermarket. ill see if i can get a part number , i might have a few kicking around.
