  • need to get faster...fast! lol

On May 15, there will be a STREET WARZ theme at a drag strip and already some peeps have said i should go since I whooped on alot of "TUNERS" around the area. Pathetic i know, but the prob is most of the guys i will meet up wit are 97+ GTP's. I already asked a guy on this board to see if he could ship me the 70mm throttlebody overnight.

WHat other quick mods could i do? How bout pulling a headlight, how difficult and how can i do that? How much of a diff. should the 70mm body give?

Just to let you guys know I WILL tape the WHOLE event, well at least my races, so let me know what you guys think!

u can do a 13* cam timing mod, take your spare and jack out, air intake tube with a high flow air filter, let a few pounds of pressure out of your front tires at the strip.

imo a 70mm won't do very much without intake porting and some kind of different air intake system other than your airbox.hope that helps.

Letting air out of your tires won't do any good since you have a auto, therefore tire spin isn't an issue.

And actually I've heard the 70mm does pretty well even on a stock setup, but I have no proof.

Pulling a headlight won't do too much, but it can't hurt. If nothing else it will decrease underhood temps.

Thats odd cause I get pretty bad tire spin on mine, and street tires def dont seem to grab the track as well.

if you have the stock airbox pullin the light should help a decent ammount.

What mods do you have already?

Probably at sea level. I drove an auto Z34 up here than ran PERFECT, it screemed for being stock. It would chirp them on the 2-1 kick down, but would only get a little squel off the line. And actually a little tire spin is good, so long as it stops around 4000 rpm.

a stock auto that won't spin them off the line will spin them at the track. its a given because of the track surface

Yeah, I don't know if you are going to do hugh numbers with your setup now. But I hope you put something together and smoke some L67's.

there is one guy wit a GTP thats running high 15's...i heard it backfires like a mofo and the guy treats the car like shit so im guarantee'd one win. Other than that, anything is good, can't expect to beat any L67's wit my mod's (unless your AARON and have major mods!
