  • wise mans advice?

the other day i took my heads to the machine shop to get decked, they said no problem but another employee an older man came up and said "ahh 3.4 dual, those motors flow" i said " yah" he replied "you ported those more?" "yes" i siad, well after about 5 minutes he got to the point and told me that the port wouldn't do to much but what really holds that motor back is the computor....

i have the ffp chip, noticable difference

but is there any other computor alterations that can be made?... what is holding us back if this is true? ignition timing? just wondering what your guys input is

also, on the hypertech website its says they're chips can control tcc soliniod functions or somthin, basic torque converter stuff, well i have a 2100 stall and sometimes in 2nd it seems to lock higher than 1st
    ne input would be helpful

one more thing i found, i work at murrays a local auto retail and looking through a old gm performance parts books i found a coil configuration i've never seen, i has normal coil but they are for the regal or somthing that won't work for us but.... the performance part is 2 knobs on the module that adjust spark timing and somthin else i can't remember though.. i'll check today..has ne one heard of this?

Thats for the 3.8 rwd in the 80s. It wont help you at all. The computer is the key, after you mod the piss out of your motor to get more power. It will need tuning then. The engine flows decently but piss poor for what I could be doing.
