A car will always run faster when it's cold, but it is not that noticable. Where do you live?

I live in Colorado, so it rarely gets above 60 here.

another thing i have always noticed about my car is it runs really hot, my freind also has a z34, and his car cools better than mine stock, even with stock chip and thermostat my car runs on the red with fnas going, another thing is somedays i notice a good amunt of water in my tips and white smoke? but not always, car runs good got the phantom stallin issue somtimes but when the air is cold it moves and moves well

Hmm, sounds like you may have a small head gasket leak. Correct me if I'm wrong, but white smoke is usually a sign of coolant burning off as steam. Would also explain your car running a bit hot. May want to check your radiator for exhaust fumes. Basically you use an emissions sniffer to test for combustion gases that could be in your coolant.

Although, my car is very similar. Definitely has stronger pull on the low end in the colder weather and has noticeable bog when it's warm. I was thinking mine was O2 sensor related as both are in need of replacement and when it's warm it's running Open Loop and trying to use the O2 sensor data. Most cars do run a little better in the cold weather as was mentioned because cold air is more dense and you get a better fuel burn, but I think you have similar symptoms as I do and they are definitely out of the normal operation. Good luck.
