  • Drive train swap again

Why is it I seem to do the weird stuff in a drivetrain and subject area even you deem as "out there?"

    1996 3.4 DOHC Monte donor.

I plan on dropping a manual trans from a 91-93 cavalier behind it.
Yanked all emissions and did some port and polish work on heads and intakes, deep as i could get with die-grinder.

Heard some rumor about 1995 dohc cams being better, so looking for a set if this is true.

Also, motor being cheap rebuild (re-ring) and I'll most likely time the cams with cam degree wheel, Ben, I see tons of posts on how too's with aftermarket and experimental tools, any for old school on the stand cam degree kits?

Last, do i have to go to obd 1 to run this motor with the manual trans?
And why haven't any of us made a windows OBD 2 reflasher to our specs yet?
Indy race teams did it all through the 90's, where is their software?
sigpicHow to make High performance Emissions:
A "true" High flow converter, straight pipe.
Low/No flow EGR valve, block off plate.
Carbon canister and purge valve mod, place in large 30 Gallon can, cover, and place curbside, the city will do the rest.
PCV valve and vent tube, reroute to exhaust to dump where it belongs, on the ground. Or add breathers and let it all free.
