  • Any intrest in custom downpipes?

I could make them in 2.5" or even 3" for around $100. I could also add flanges, flex couplers, and even long ones if you want the cat deleted. Let me know if your interested. If no one cares Ill just make one for myself lol.

any specific reason to go to a custom downpipe?? I had thought only a turbo setup needed a custom downpipe.

Stock downpipes are very restrictive. So even if you replace the entire exhaust all the way up to the downpipe, you still have a huge restriction in your exhaust. A custom downpipe (if done correctly), will help clear up with restriction.

x2, On the 60* ive heard of the custom downpipe making it rev up faster and pull noticeably harder, Thats why I want one for myself.

i remember when i had my exhaust done... was thinking about a down pipe.... our down pipe (atleast on my 96 Z) was already a 2.5" but yeah it is crimp bent so i can see where it would be restricted some.

i would say the new DP would need to be Stainless and mandral bent to make it worth swaping for me.... as living in florida by the beach... dont want to take the risk of it rusting out.

I coud do stainless for extra $$$ but a good coating could be just as good for much less $$$.

Heres what they would look like.

I know my stock 1995 Monte Z34 is a 2.5" single wall. Not much restriction on mine.. Don't remember on the older ones or other models if they are the same... The 1995-1997 Z34 monte's are kinda wierd compared to other 1st gen W-body's.

                  the downpipes

yeah im interested. i live waayy up and over here in Minnesota. could probably cut out the cat. is there a certain way you would like the money forwarded to you. i'll probably take the SS set up. ild probably have to take the stock sizing as they dont make any aftermarket headers. it'ld be nicer to go bigger but headers restrict the most. but yeah hit me back on how you would like the money and how much for the SS set up.
