is it possible to perform what most early stangers do...replace their ECU and add a mass air sensor to convert from speed density to MAF? What about the splitsec.com Universal MAF conversion kit? Would their be any benefit in converting?

what is this MAF conversion kit? any link?
advantages: since it measures and uses airflow directly, it responds to mods. MAP you have to constantly fiddle with it every time you change something since it uses the MAP and VE (tunable part) to calculate airflow..
disavantages: expensive MAF sensor that goes out much more often then a MAP. MAF placement becomes a pain in come cases, a restriction in others. The only thing that will throw MAF tuning off is outflowing the MAF, or changing any piping 12" on either side of the MAF. An air filter directly on the MAF is not a wise idea.
