  • Increasing bore and compression?

Hey guys its been a while but I was thinking today about my 92' dohc swap for my Fiero. I'm going to rebuild the engine before the swap and was wondering. If I bore it to clean up the cylinders are the any options for pistons other than custom? I was thinking that by todays standards that 9.5 to1 compresion isn't much. Would a bump in compression help? To say, 10.5 to 1? If no pistons are avalible then what about milling the heads? If I spring for custom cams what is the standard? I mean what cams are proven to be worth the money for regrinds? I searched for some of the info but there is so much that I just asked.

Anyone have a good game plan for a NA 3.4 DOHC in the 300hp range? Share your recipe please.

    Thanks,
    Vinny

I dont recall any radical tdc 660's out there, so if anything you'll be the first to do it IF you do.
I think someone should just for the sakes showing what a 3.4 can do, put it to the n/a limits.
Bored, stroked, HIGH compression, cam'd, ported, fine tuned 3.4 all attached to a manual trans or built 65E.
Sorry this was no real help...
Good luck on your quest, keep us informed if you do it!
