Just bought an engine. It is new and has tags and numbers all over. What are the important numbers that I will need to identify what I have? I am going to use the engine in a MGB GT with a T5 behind it. I will have to setup the computer and engine management.

Can you post a picture of it? I assume it is a DOHC, based on where you posted this message.
Have you measured the width of the engin (especially the heads) to make sure it will fit in the car? The DOHC's are a very wide angine at the top compared to the pushrods.

Marty,
Thanks for replying. I don't know how to post a picture, but I am positive that it is a DOHC. I am a very good mechanic on older equipment. I don't know the new electronics. It has three coils on the front of the engine and three injectors in the middle of the intake.
