    I'm thinking mild steel at least for a starter set. Sence the ports are rectangle I wonder how I can address that?

      Same way I mad my rectangle t3 turbo flange match the 2.5" exhaust tubing...

      ball peen hammer and time, lol

          If it's an older LQ1, like what you said you were going to pick up. It should have more D shaped ports on the exhaust, the newer motors have the oval shaped exhaust. I think only the intake side is really a rectangle.

            Yeah, as far as shapes go, you are right. 96/97 are the oval shaped exhaust port years. 91-95 are "D" ports.

                I like the prices on that site. The only thing I didn't see was collectors. The motor is an early one because it sayes Twin Duel Cam. I guess I'll have to make my own flanges.
