I use AC Delco Rapidfire #8 plugs and Magnecor KV85 Competition 8.5mm spark plug wires. Other then that, the stock ignition system is fine.

Magnecores are direct fit. MSD?? Its a good name Dont know if they make anything for the the 3.4..

Yeah the boots for the engine side are propriertary to that engine.. the coil side is a regular 90 deg bend

do u think if KV85 Competition R-100 Racing 10mm Ignition Cable will fit as well or just 8.5 is the max?

For a street car, 10mm is probably an overkill on your engine and wallet.

All oversize wires are pointless unless you're running an MSD ignition box and a turbo. To put it into perspective, I have the fastest N/A DOHC on the board at the moment, and I'm doing it with A/C Delco Rapidfire #8 plugs and the factory 7mm wires.
I may own a GTO now, but I'm still a 60V6er at heart.

According to the guy that owned the 92 before me, the Magnecors fixed the "phantom stalling" issue the car used to have. So at least they did one thing, besides look nice and give me a piece of mind knowing I have wires that are far from junk.

yeah i agree with pocket-rocket with the difference of wiring sizes on mm. "phantom staller" is new to me and it cud make sense. but i have a point- my mother car 03 impala LS (my possible senior gift!!) i replaced the wiring and the coil packs to MSD, MSD wiring 8.5 mm it really gave a better MPG, factory highway MPG was 27 or 28 based on 60 MPH, but now after replacing those to MSD, it makes abt 31-34 MPG at 70 MPH, almost 40's MPG at 60 MPH and hell i dont like factory wiring these r gay PLUS my WZ34 is at 187K miles WITH ORGINIAL WIRING/packs/ module. its time for a better shock as mangecor 8.5mm with MSD PACKS with brand new moudle hooked to 3 adapter under packs (adapter between moudle to packs) to MSD ingition worth abt 565$ for that piece of box.

i might sell my WZ34 idk yet

why i might sell my WZ34 because that i need a manual, lower miles on body, rust-free. my red Z34 is rust free, no engine no trans, minor body damages but will be needing replacing the front bumper which i dont want to because i need to keep it orginial.. manual from factory made not swapping in manual from auto, hell idk ha, help me out if u can

Stock delco wires are good but i have had problems with them breaking. I bought magnicore 8mm wires for mine cause they where the same price as the delco's. you don't need bigger. and the 8mm wires fit in the stock clips as well.

Do not buy aftermarket coils. Stock AC Delcos are as powerful as you will EVER need and will last a lot longer. There have been a lot of stories of MSD coils failing after only a few k miles. 10mm wires is definitely overkill, and AC Delco plugs are also as much as you'll ever need.

I run NGK plugs (Adv. Auto doesn't stock my delco's anymore) and stock coils on my turbo setup. GM DIS is a good system no need to "Upgrade" it.
