    I have already had a set done, and they are in the states so there wouldn't be any border tax (there will be on 640 dollars worth of work being shipped back to the states). For those in canada those, this isn't bad.

    I can get it done for 600 plus shipping the cams to me. I have a set I can ship out though so it would be a $100 core I guess. Im looking into lash caps for making up any differences from grinding on the base lobes. Let me know what they say at colt about welding up the cam lobes and keeping them at stock spec but allowing more lift and duration. I dunno how much lift we can go though with the stock base lobe considering welding metal on the lobe side could make them not fit the carrier.

      I would be willing to pay for a set of w41 spec cams for my 3.4l. I really need to beat the hell out of the imports, and NDRA just changed the rules on engines for the comp6 class. I now have to use an overhead cam engine, now that I have spent $8000 in a 4.3l pushrod motor. I guess that somebody saw the tuning runs that I did, and realized that I was almost 2 seconds faster than the fastest run last year. Well needless to say I am just going to go out and beat them at their own game.

      Please send any information to my new email address

        using a 4.3 AKA a 3/4 "350".........???? very impressive.
        What latitude will you have for cam grinding?
        Sounds like there are a few willing to step up now, on both sides of the border!
        what a very nice development!!

          Im not sure if you are gonna go from .370 to .441 lift on a regrind. You certainly wont have any room for duration,and it will need lash caps for sure.

            I'd be interested depending on what we gain from this. Would there be any point in doing the 13* retard after this?

              Nope, you wouldnt wanna do 13 degrees if you increased the duration to where it really should be.

                        500 bucks and you send them the cams. Best deal I can find and you guys can deal with them direct. Ive decided not to resell their cams due to weight and dealing with custom specs.

                            speaking of cam's anyone know what the cam specs were on the prototype engine GM had, I heard* it was making 300 HP or something like that, I think that'd be a good start.

                              Yes, 500 for all 4. The GM specs from 1990 are much different than what we have. The site has all the specs listed. The 90 specs have a lot more duration, same lift.

                                What do they do? Do they just regrind or do they weld and then regrind? Where can I compare the '94 LQ1 specs to the Quad 4 W41 specs. Ben, you said you had as set made already, when will you be trying them?
