sounds a bit steep even to make a jig. I have a guy that doesn't charge me for my jig's when i make downpipes, turbo kits, ect...

Good for you. The cost of the jig has been gone over already in this post if you just read it. If you think it's too expensive, don't contribute, and don't bitch about it.

alrighty, $20 isn't much but it is better than $0. i personally have no interest, not because i am cheap but b/c i already have a set i bought from milzy a while back.

i would like to see something out there just in case i get some interest.

anybody that puts forth an honest effort to better the entire community should recieve our support.

            question about headers

I have a 95 engine in my fiero, using the two front (or is it rear) exhaust manifolds. Would this header work in my car? The amount of room is rather restricted!

doubtfull. your best bet is to have a custom set made.

Alright. Whats the deal? Did ya'll get your headers made? The headers are for the early "D" port heads arn't they? What can I do to get a set of flanges only? My engine is a 92' and it's going into a 88Fiero GT. I'll do my best to build my own headers.

I would be very interested in the Northstar throttle body adapter. I have a Northstar TB and a complete 97 intake. I just need the piping to mate them. Thanks.

Sorry guys, but you'll have to source your own parts for your projects now. At this point everything being made for my car is a one off. The shop I'm at now has no interest in making TB adapters or flanges. Due to a lack of local shop with laser cutter, my flanges had to be made be hand which takes almost a day in itself. The headers should be done next week and I'll post pics of the final results.

Sorry but I can't seem to figure out what engine your putting headers together for and if it's fwd or rwd. But good luck with the project. Seeing as I seem to be about one of 4 people dropping a 3.5 in an MGB (or so it seems based on parts scarcity) I'm guessing your project won't work for me.

But I am working on getting a Ford 4.3 tb adapter made for the 3.5 (If wot doesn't already have something close I can use).

I seem to be engineering tons of parts, the most recent being the wilwood brake bracket for the stock MG dif.

Well I just burned a set of flanges for the early style heads from my 92' engine going into my Fiero. I did it at work on a burn table that traces a cut out of what ever you want to cut out. I cut the ports themselves with a torch and used a die grinder to clean it all up. I made two sets just in case I mess one up. They look good so far. I tryed to hire it done but Stahl didn't think I could afford $25-$30 to ship him a head and $250-$300 for him to set it up in his cad program. Gees, wow $250-$300 bucks. I kinda thought it was going to be more than that . Oh well his loss! I did it myself. If I could I would do more but they let me do this as a favor.

Headers will be done tomorrow. First race, pending tuning is done, is this weekend.

Is that a collector welded through your subframe?

I was wondering the same dam thing. What the hell is that. It looks good. I would have so gone with headers if I did not do a turbo. There is no fuckin room left in my engine bay for headers, but maybe I might get crazy one day and do a set.

Yes, what you saw is the rear bank collector going through the subframe. Basically they cut a 3" hole in it, welded a pipe in there for structure, then they put the collector in there. The front bank runs down thru the factory space, and everything combines where the cat should be. Then it's 3" all the way back to the mufflers. I drove it last night, and the fueling is so far off (adding massive amounts all over the place) I won't get it tuned in one day. So I won't be at the dragstrip tomorrow like I'd hoped, but soon enough. The one thing I can say so far is it sounds completely different to any other LQ1 I've ever heard. If I had to compare it to anything, it'd be a Porsche. I'll get some video of it up soon.
