Dont mean to bust a thread up, but that motor is going to have dirt in it. You should not rebuild a motor outside.

Okay back on topic and up top for this one...
Did we ever find out what the length of the bolts are? I'm sure ARP has bolts of that length&thread, just going to have to buy them individually unless by some miracle they allready have a kit with 16 bolts of the same length and thread.3.4 DOHC- 95 engine, custom intake manifold, custom cams, ported exhaust manifolds, Turbonetics T-62, Haltech standalone, 13.5 psi, air/h20 intercooler... yadda yadda...
1987 Fiero, ST lowering springs, KYB's, Clutchnet dual diaphragm 6-puck, custom paint, 18's with falken fk452 225 front Nitto NT05 245 rear. Should be around 450whp...

what do you need to know, the length of a lq1 headbolt? i may have a few laying around but they are stretched.
my guess is you'd need to measure a new one. lq1 headbolts are torque to yield or some crap like that.
go to any parts store and tell them you need a head bolt set. they are around $20 for a lq1, ask to inspect them, measure one and kindly give them back explaining you have changed your mind.
my guess is a stud would actually have to be a little longer than a stock headbolt. perhaps then a stretched headbolt would be your way to go. next time i get a chance i may measure a stocker if you still need it.Last edited by dohcfiend; 03-16-2008, 06:26 PM.The Official Rotating Mass Nazi
