  • Want EFILive for OBD2?

EFILive is considering adding GM V6 motors to their catalog of supported platforms. Since DHP has quit producing the PowrTuner, the only current source for 60 degree V6 tuning is HPTuners. I e-mailed the EFILive support desk the bin files from the 96 and 97 Z34.

Will there ever be any coverage for the 3.8?? Wanting to buy Gtp but would like to be able to do something with it!!:D

Any word on when EFI Live will support the GM 3.8L V-6 (L32 supercharged) engines? Last post said it should be sometime in 2007.

FYI. I have copied this thread to the Pushrod Performance, DOHC Performance, and OBD2 areas. I did so to try to drum up support amongst the community for another tuner to take on our PCM's. The competition would be good and hopefully would open up some new tuning options for our platform. EFILive is widely considered to be the best tuning tool for stock GM PCM's.

what about the older 3.4's? like mine is a 92 and all i know is that when the injector's fire they dont fire when the intake valves are open they fire when the valves are closed so the gas pool's on top of the valve. there are some other things that they changed on 96 up DOHC motors but im not sure what. are you gonna be making a tuning chart for motor's with pcm's such as mine? or are you gonna stick to newer motors'?

Your not obd2 so this reay dost help you. Yeah im intrested maybe I can have acces to some of the hiddan tables that my dhp tuner wont show. Like the one that wont let my car shift at the mph and rpm i set if its not to 190 degf... You cant run a 180 or a 160 tstat in a 97... Car will short shift. That is a important tech not for people with 97s

I believe that the old OBD1 version of EFILive supported the DOHC.

The DHP is great and definitely better than nothing, but I would really prefer a more complete solution.

I have a line on a DHP from a 3800SC OBDII owner. Can I use this for my OBDII 3.4DOHC?

Are there any factors that I need to take into account?
I dont know what this means but "ASS HATS" is funny

It may not work on a 96 but the newest version of the pt has all cars unlocked 97-07 and my tunner is set inside to do 96 from the factory so im not shure if it will on the 96 I never did see them say that. That would be a question you should have the seller post on gmv6pcm.com

I thought they opened it up to all supported PCM's, but you may be right and it's only 97-up. btw, the website is powrtuner.com now. I wouldn't be able to check for you because mine was originally set up for a 96.

BTW, this would be awesome to get EFI Live going. stupid HPT and only doing 97-up
