plug the throttle body water coolant

Hi has anyone pluged the hot water coolant that goes araound the throttle bodie and what is the best way.. becouse thats only to prevent the throttle from freazing and getting stuck in cold weather but here i dont have that problem and i think i can get a little more power gain and a bit better gas milage (here in europe with the high price of gas every drop counts hehe) since it wont heat up the air going in... its the 3.4 v6 92 lumina

im only guessing it would do some differance cuz the throttle body realy get very hot

I know how to do it on the 96-97 TB's but never owned a 91-95 so im no help...

you could take the upper intake manifold off and plug the TB passage with JB weld or similar. i have only done it on my 96 DOHC as well. but is should work.... as for gains... it wont be noticable. your better off porting and polishing the TB and intake manifold while you have it apart.

theres really no need to plug it, just loop the coolant hose back to the other port, the throttle ports can be left open

You could use a small freeze in one port or tap it and use a pipe plug. The hose can be plugged with just about anything that will fit. But you won't gain any fuel milage since the air going through the manifold will be cooler, and cooler air is denser than warm air. You shouldn't drop any milage
