  • t3/t4 hybrid turbo prix

i have a 1993 grand prix 3.4 DOHC 5 speed... im going to put a turbo on this car and need sugestions. what would be a safe level of boost it has 140 thousand miles. and is there any aftermarket clutches b/c the stock one is fried. and is there anything for locking diffs on this car bc it wont do posi and with adding more power i need both tires to hook up. what do i need besides larger injectors and colder plugs. cam?.. and im not sure on this but since its not a maf motor i can use a fuel pressure regulator to tune ? any sugestions and help would be helpfull

Turboing a non turbo car esp. one with 140K is hard to say if its safe. if the motor is in good shape then you should be fine as long as you add enough fuel to compensate for the boost. I have swapped to a 1996 wiring harness and OBDII computer and tuned it via DHP. Centerforce makes a clutch.... $$$$$$$$ bux tho. check some of the fiero sites for clutches and diff's, allot of thoes guys have TONS of aftermarket parts that you may be able to use on the DOHC.

Larger injectors can only be ran if you have some way to tune the A/F ratios. i ran a Walbro 255 LPH pump and a FMU for over a year when i turbod mine originally, TimG did the same. He now has a "split Second" controle box to tune his and will be swappn to OBDII soon. Stock cam is fine and stock plugs are allready the coldest you can get in that size.

I would consider something larger then a T3/T4, the exhuast housing will restrict you but it will spool fast. T04E is what tim and i are running. i think he is going to a different turbo soon

Hey thanx for the help but i got a few more ? what did you do for rear and front exhuast manifolds? i wanted to use the stock rear manifold but with that 180 degree bend it will be way to restrictive and what did you do for a down pipe (like wich way did u run it) im going to try just use a fuel pressure regulator on the fuel rail to adjust a/f ratio... still whats the max boost i should run 5,8,10 plus this set up is going to have a snow performance methanol/water injection

you'll either have to run a front manifold flipped upside down on the rear or have custom headers made. you should be fine w/ 10 psi intercooled w/ meth. fuck, cant remember on the dp, but im sure shane or tim will chime in.

I have pictures of the downpipe and crossover setup on my cardomain page. The downpipe and crossover both go right where the stock parts were.

I did have a Split Sec FTC1, but I just sold it to Aaron. He's going to be using it on his Fiero. I no longer have a running Monte Carlo. Hopefully that's incentive for me to do lots of new work to it to make it run again though.

its pretty much the same setup as the 1989-90 TGP's. the 1991-95 DOHC's can use a 2nd front manifold on the rear (equil Flow off both heads) and build a Y pipe collecting the 2 banks together then a downpipe snaked back down the same area above the trans between the engine and the brake Master Cyl.

Don't forget to port match it. The ports are D-shaped and flipping it upside down for the rear head will block off some port area.
