Not that it has to do with our motors.... but a friend of mine in his turbo Talon hit a HUGE water puddle last summer. The water came up over his hood! Anyways, he bent a rod from sucking in water, had to rebuild the motor. So ya, I'd say you wouldn't have to worry about a little vapor. Hell, like Jon said, a little vapor would be BETTER! Helps keep the air cool, and more dense.
I am having trouble believing any amount of water could get by the turbo without evaperating.
A little water would evaporate, but if you had a bunch of water, it's not going to evaporate, kinda like where Dave was talking about boiling water isn't instantaneous, Goddamnit, lmao.

the tube i had was 4in. but it came with a kit from air inlent systems for my old monte. but it is fairly common. i think it is close to dryer tube if not the same. if u can't get it anywhere else i can give u the number for ais.
Nope, it bent the #1 rod only. Do you think I'm making this up? How long does it take to boil water? It's not insantaneous. Goddamnit...
Ive dropped a red glowing clay brick (from a wood burning stove) in a giant bucket of water (about 10 gallons) and the whole bucket instantly started boiling the second the brick hit it...and the pillar of opaque steam leads me to believe alot of it evaporated almost instantly too
but then again, that brick was prolly well over 800s
