  • Power wire upgrade?

ZZP has a upgrade cable from the back of the alternator to the power post on the L67/L32/L36's. I guess it makes a good difference. Has anyone done this to their DOHC? That might be this weeks "Cheap Mod"... Well along with my F'ed up fuel pump getting replaced.

My battery is in the trunk so i think this would help quite a bit.

Upgrading the wiring helps alot. I put my battery in the trunk and never was able to get the car to start when it was hot. Maybe it was the starter from heat soak, not sure. But I replaced everything. I am running a 2ga power wire from the battery to the starter, no to the post, directlty to the starter. The alternator has 8ga wire from the factory. Unless you are going to have alot being drawn from it I think factory is ok. I think this is a good mod if you need to do it, but not just beacause you can.

My battery is in the trunk. And like it says in the right up on zzp. the factory wire is small and long. so running the cable from the bat post to the alt. directly will allow you to have brighter headlights and stronger power for accessories. people with large sterios should also benifit from this mod too. (i have. 3 amps)

i just ran the wire over the weekend, just need to get a fuse holder.

doing the "big 3" or "big 5" is always a good idea.
