  • Will the 95 Fuel rail fit around the 96 intake?

I picked up a 96 intake the other day but left the fuel rail because I didn't want to pay another $20. So does the old style rail have enough clearence to work?

i am thinking no. besides the fact you have to hack and re-bend the mounting brackets, i think the fpr and line placement interferes with the 96 intake.

20 bux isn't alot of money, you should have snatched it. you are seriously tempting fate you know. when you go back the rail may either not be there or the car wil be gone.

p.s. this doesn't belong in dohc performance i do not think.

Simply put, yah, DOHCfiend had it right on the money. You can see it for yourself. If the fuel rail was modified to mount properly, you could fit the upper plenum on, but you could NOT fit the "arm" with the throttle body on, it hits the fuel pressure regulator, just like DOHCfiend said.

96-97 fuel rail appears tiny compared to the 91-95 rail doesn't it?

I didn't think that talking about hacking up the old fuel rail would look good under maintanace; don't want to scare people away. Also the 96 intake swap is considered a "performance upgrade", that's the real reason I posted here.

Thank you both. Fierobsessed that was awesome of you to post pictures!
