  • Conversion Question 91 - 93 to a 1994

Ok I went to the summit racing website, and they have this amazing deal on feul injectors, 6 32 LB/HR (don't quote me) for 214 dollars. However that deal was for the 1993 Z34.. Will they work on my 1994 Z34? Vice to that I want to know if the following componants are directly transferrable:

    Ignition Coils
    Oil Filter
    Thermostat
    A/C Elim Bracket
    Brake Master Cylinder
    Feul Pressor Regulator

All those parts are the same (except the injectors) but the master cylinder is the same IF ther both NON-ABS

          The part numbers and ohms for the injectors are different for each group of years because of what the ECM system is;
          91-93 the same
          94-95 the same
          96-97 the same

They MAY work running different ohms. But I won't in my own car from what its suppose to be cause they won't work 100% and depending on what ohms they are, they'll heat up.

            Regards,

why do you want bigger injectors is my question? Do you want worse gas miolage? Also how are you going to tune the computer for thoes injectors? you can't just plug them in and run, the stock computer won't run them w/o a tune. Not many people can tune a Z34 either... Just curiuos...

Im turboed and just did a C100 Swap (Programable with HP Tuners). Im going to run the Lucas 42.5# injectors to adjust for the extra boost.

i would just wait to you get some more of your mods done and see if your injectors are maxed out and then maybe get new injectors? i would just get some used L67 injectors.

from my experience all the different generation lq1 injector will interchange with each other although the 94-97 ones are more desirable. they are quieter and i believe somewhere i read the 91-93 injectors would cause something called a "phantom stall" and the later ones fixed this. i cannot confirm nor deny this btw.

32lb injectors on a stock engine would be very bad. i believe they may even wipe your cylinder walls from excessive fuel(really not good and would result in a rebuild).

The ohm didnt change between years. They are all high impedence.

The stock size is 21lbs, Unless you have a turbo or heavy mods I would touch them.

Ever since I joined this site, I got really mixed up in what I wanted to do to my car. I thank you guys for saving me a whole pile of money. How does this sound and will it work? 160 degree thermostat, 8.2MM wires, A/C delete, Oil cooler, Forced air induction, headers, high flow cat and magna flow mufflers?

L67 is the supecharged 3800 90* engine and is not to be spoken of here (j/m) you could get used injectors from one for less than 100. i believe they are like 36 lb/hr or so. i got a set of L32 injectors (Series III version of L67) with connectors for like 75 and had them in my old 96. of course, i had tuned it in the powrtuner.

youre not going to need a 160 stat. maybe not even a 180. i wouldnt worry about ac delete either, unless this is going to be a track car. it doesnt rob THAT much power. dont forget plugs.
