No need to port intakes or heads when your cramming 10psi in. It will make more power and cost much less... Just a thought

So Turboize? Won't cutting a scoop in the hood with a ram air intake force more air into my engine?? One again please do smack me if it is required

I probably should have mentioned that I am on an extremely limited budget, can I not run to a scrap yard and rip a turbo out of a pontiac or something?

you can build a turbo kit for a couple grand. you will make more power the be less $$ and headach then rippn the car apart and porting everything expecially if you pay someone else to take the heads and whatnot out to port.

Im running a T04E super 60, Tial 38mm Wastegate and custom x-over and custom Downpipe. 5psi i made 270hp and 250tq to the wheels on a otherwise stock car.

Anyhow all that modifying is going to have to wait, I ripped the thing apart today after discovering that when I smack the throttle quickly, the engine stumbles for .5 of a second then continues... I have an ass load of carbon and oil and a gritty residue in my intake plenum... Sorta made me angry.

In some parts of the English-speaking world the letter "Z" is not pronounced "zee." It is pronounced "zed." So a Z34 Lumina might be informally referred to as a "Zedder."

Have you verified that the trans fluid or engine oil is actually being overheated? Over-cooling is not good.

Total waste of money. A scoop on the hood is likely to be in a low-pressure area and hurt performance. Most "cold air kits" are a ploy to separate you from your money.

Why, if they aren't worn out-of-round or tapered? Lots of expense, not much payback--about 1 hp per extra cubic inch.

That'd be Canada where "Decal" rhymes with "Speckle", if my guess is correct.

to save your intake from getting all gumed up after you clean it, put a air filter with a small bottom glass bowl with a drain in the bottom, the same used on the output line used for body work on a shop air compressor and put it in the hose running from your crank case where your PCV was coming from and run it to the rest of the hose, through the PCV and into the intake port. It works wonders in keeping all the oily crap and grime out and still works great. You will have to empty the bowl once and a while, but big deal, Your intake stays nice and clean.

                            Regards,

Since I replaced my PCV valve, I have noticed that not as much crap is getting through. The old PCV valve had a whole lot of milky white stuff on it and it was pretty much jammed. My car was a wreck, somebody was using it to tow something, it has a tow bar on it, if anybody wants it let me know.
