Timing Change on 91-95 and 96-97

Hey Everyone,

So lets use this to Thread to END confusion that some have.



91-95 - Intake 6* ADVANCE / Exhaust 6* RETARD (GREAT)




96-97 - Intake 6* ADVANCE / Exhaust 2* RETARD (??????)


Time to test the 6/6 verses th 6/2 on the 96-97........
If I had a 96 3.4 dohc in my car I would for everyone but I don't

We all should find out the facts so we can all know.

well, i think its +2/-2 from what i got, but i'd like that to be verified.

i think im going to try +4/-8 for my 5-sp w/ 96 engine

Thats what I got out of my old thread. But I am not sure if it is correct or not.

i'm doing +6/-13 since a have a 5speed w/ 92 cams on a 96 engine. hope it works out. ill let you know. going to start putting it back together when i get the heads back.

edit: i was advised to do 0/13 so thats what im going to do. im going to dyno it on the 5th, too with the older intake style. i may switch to the newer style later and dyno it again.
