  • Any ideas on putting downdraft carbs on a 3.4dohc

Hello, Ive put three of these great motors in Fieros at www.normsfiberglass.com so I have a good idea of what it takes to install them, but I have this new crate motor that I want to put in a race only Fiero and would like to put three 2barrel carbs on (Webber. Dells.)what suggestions do you have for a intake. And thankyou to Ben for this great site. Norm

is it a carb only class? if its not, i'd stay away from the carbs, you're not going to gain anything from this but headaches.

Im not sure why you want to do carb, but I personally wouldn't do it. I know someone made a carb setup because it was on ebay a while back with a distributor adapter to go with it (odd but i guess it worked). Using the 96 lower intake might be a good starting point though for carb if you have to use carbs for your setup. If you are just worried about tuning, I might be able to help you out with that if you have a 91-95 DOHC computer instead of the fiero computer.

I wish the weather wasn't so bad, I would like to drive up there and see your shop. I gotta go up to elkhart in a few weeks anyway to tune a friends car (driving from new york). I hope its nicer weather by then.
