Squeezing gains out of the 3.4

This isnt the first time you have posted an opinion as if its a fact (cam timing). When you make a claim, like this "Heads aren't gonna be a huge gain on this motor, they already flow pretty well for being stock. " then yes, I have to say something. You didnt say "I think" or any sort of qualifier in front to show it was an opinion.

Huge is a perspective, so if huge gains is 100 hp, no, heads wont do that.

Aaron, if you wanna get more flow you could get a 96 plenum and lower intake. You look in the plenum and it is like a 3.5" with no interruptions. Then you see the runners come off of that. There is no winding and turning like the earlier plenum.

It is being shipped! Kind of. Except with my headers the TB won't fit. Oh well. Now I have an extra 96 plenum/TB....

I might "make" it fit, using a sophisted technique of big long prybar and welder.

I would like to retard the timing 13*, but I will do that when I install the hew heads/cams.

But if I get reground cams with new specs will I still need/want to do the retard?

Most likely the place that will regrind cams will give you new specs to set the cams to.
