  • Aaah I need help!!!!

I have a 92 Z34 that ive been fighting for far to long now. The Cam belt flung from a bad pullie, so naturally I do my homework ( off this site mainly ) And go ahead and buy all my parts- pullies, belt ,tensioner gaskets etc. I got it all together and it was wrong not 1 time 5 dam times Help wht the F@3! could I be doing wrong. I made sure the flats on all the cams were up Crank at tdc at least im sure its there. It will start but it scares me to even hear it run. to me it sounds like it is 180 deg. out but how can that be ! Ive tried it every wich way possible and still no luck AAAAAAAAAaHHHHHH Thanks for lstenen

If you have all 4 cams UP, then it is wrong. When the front 2 cams are UP, then the back 2 should be DOWN.

if you read that, and follow it, then it should be right. It has you tighten the cams with all of them up, but then you have to tighten the pulleys on one set, turn the engine all the way around to TDC again, then tighten the other set.

Is this the way you did it? If not, then it is wrong.
