  • HELP!!!!

Ok so i have a 1993 Lumina Z-34, 3.4 DOHC...obviously...and when i first start it up, put it in gear, and try to drive away it like, misses almost, like it hesitates and doesnt wanna go then all the sudden it'll go smooth, it does not do this when its warmed up, just after i have just started it up and its cold, like the other day i fired it up, it sat for like 3 mins, i jumped in and it did it so...any suggestions at all will help!

sounds like a vac leak... the lower intake gasket is prone to leaking... its a straight foward fix... just takes a bit of time ... when you do it the first time.

i already replaced the intake manifold gaskets, and the plenum gaskets, i did that as soon as i bought the car, i was thinking it was more of an electrical problem....ICM maybe?...if so how hard is that to replace...?oh and also if its a vacuum line...which i think it has a bad one somewhere b/c sometimes the idle will jjust starting chugging all the sudden....at like 500rpms...and then sometimes it'll even stall...it never throws a code for this...but i think its a vacuum line soo getting the the whole point...where are the common leaky vacuum lines that cause this located?? appreciate the help a ton!!

not sure your vac system is diff then my 96... but there are probs with fuel injectors too. pull your plugs and check them... if they are whitish your lean or fouled then rich...

lean-no fuel injector not firing or stuck shut.
        rich-no spark or stuck injector

thats the limit of my ideas so far... im sure others will chime in that have more experience trouble shooting this engine.

alright thanks....my plugs are nice, i checked them probably 2 months ago and they were nice that is...didnt look rich, or lean, right where they were supposed to be, my injectors and fuel rail and all that junk was off about 5 months ago and was all cleaned, and got new O-rings too, so i dont think its any of that, it must be some dumb hidden vac line, appreciate the help tho
