Hey,
Ok, so I have my car back on the road and only have one problem.
First off, the check engine light comes on after about 60 seconds worth of driving.
While driving the car is fine, couldn't be better, but when I come to a stop light the RPMS go up and down almost stalling the car (it won't totally stall if, but I hold the gas down to be safe and keep it around 1000rpm)
When I pull into drive way it will do it again untill I put it in park, then it revs down-up down and stalls, however if I rev up the engine before it stalls to about 2000rpm and back down, its fine, it idles right where it always has.
This evening I clean the IAC. To me it looked like a piston that goes in and out, I was able to push it in slightly and then it would slide back out, but it got jambed when I pushed it back in again, I couldn't even pull it out. I finished cleaning it and re-installed it in the car. When I started the car it revved way up and then back down and almost stalled again.
I attempted an idle re-learn and had little success, the stalling has stopped but the idle still revs from around 600-950rpms when I'm at a stop light of sitting in my driveway...
If I do have to replace the thing can anyone give me a part number? and maybe a price? I need this issue fixed before Thursday, I have to go in for an e-test then!
Thanx
Jamie
