  • 3400 D.O.H.C. SHOP MANUAL?!

Does anybody know how or where i can get ahold of a dohc shop manual.
I have the number for Helm Inc. the company that makes all of gm's manuals, and thier site shows nothing about a one.
I have seen somewhere on the net a manual just for the 3.4 dohc so i know they are out there still.

It's a 2-book series, big books, that are like pink and blue. They are very helpful-but I spent 70$ on mine, but I didn't use EBAY

what are you talking about aaron? The supplement manual has a white cover and is only the DOHC, transmissions, and some other parts. That is the only DOHC specific book I know of, aside from the watered down version that comes with the video as a set. Oops, there is a fuel and emissions book but its not DOHC specific.

No the one I am talking about is not DOHC specific, it is Lumina specific. Sorry . But it does cover the DOHC, auto trans, 5-speed, 3.1, 2.5 very thoroughly.

I got my assembly manual now. Its listed as the 3400 DOHC, perhaps that is what this thread is about? They are rare...and each page says "unpublished' at the top. Ebay is your best bet probably.

I have ordered out of print manuals from a couple places:

www.books4cars.com - They are in Seattle I think.

www.autopaper.com - They are in Framingham, Mass.

My experience with both these places has been excellent. In fact, I just ordered helm manual for a '92 Lumina Z34 from books4cars. I think it cost $60.
