Well, the reason the 95 cutty won't run is simple...I swapped the intake and exhaust cam on the rear bank! Damn. So anyway, here is what happens. I had 5 of the 6 plugs out, with number 5 (rear driver side) still in place because I broke the wire housing and it wasn't as simple to get out. We had an injector leaking so it flooded the cylinder, so we were cranking the motor over to get the fuel out. Unplugged the injector harness near the ECM while doing this. For some reason, I got a backfire out of the number 4 (middle front) spark plug hole...with no fuel. Let it sit for a bit, then cranked it over and it fired out that hole with me standing near it. Sounded like a gunshot.
So it didnt make any sense other than looking at the firing order and thinking perhaps I put the cams in wrong in the back and it was firing that plug which ignited through the exhaust manifold and lit up the open exhaust valve on number 4. Bingo.
Good thing I have a spare 95 motor in the garage to compare the cam numbers to. Now I have to take off the rear carrier again and swap the cams properly.
For future reference, 95 rear intake cam is 2188, exhaust is 2182.
