Patgizz has a tranny rebuild book, I think. I think i'm heading out to his place next weekend, so i'll see if i can look at his tranny service manual while I'm there.

Well, the past few weeks, she's really been acting wierd. I'll put the car in reverse, and back up. Then put it in drive to go, and it will not switch into the next gear. I've been successful with it by going through the gears(R,N,OD,D,2) back and forth a few times, then putting it in OD and it would go into gear. So.... talked to the old man tonight. Since I'm going to go home to visit for Easter, I'm leaving the car with him and bringing the Bonneville back up with me. He's gonna take it to our local trans guy(already rebuilt the trans in my dad's 95 Impala SS and the Bonneville, very good work, and great prices), and have it fixed up for me.

Did you use any additives in that tranny?

I hope you get a report from the Trans Shop, cuz, my 3T40 is doing the exact same thing. Mine also jumps out of gear on right hand angle turns such as hwy onramps. It's unerving.

Let us know the prognosis!

Mine was doing that- bouncing off the rev limiter instead of shifting. Eventually the input shaft and every clutch and band broke.

Got a call from the trans shop. Since I planned on selling the vehicle after fixing the transmission, they said for the amount of money it would take them to repair it, it wouldn't be worth it.

So... anyone looking for a Z34?
