  • Timing Chain Cover

I broke my timing chain cover on my 1994 Pontiac Grand Prix GTP. It's the aluminum cover that has all the accessory mounting brackets on it, and I found one at a junkyard. They list it as

    Pontiac Grand Prix 3.4L,LOWER FRONT

They also have one from a 1993 Chevy Lumina. I need to know if this is one I can use, or if there were changes from 1992/3 to 1994. Thanks guys!

    RE: Timing Chain Cover

I believe there is a threaded boss in the 94-96 cover for the 24x crank sensor that the 91-93 don't have. It could be there but need to be threaded. If you have a picture of your 94 cover off the engine, I can compare it with mine.
